The majority of it's completely hidden behind our fascia with some small portions for our attachments that poke through right through here. That requires very minimal to no trimming. We only had to make a very slight modification here and the only reason we had to do that was for our braking system components. This provides you with all the necessary connections you need for flat towing. It gives you your safety cable hookups, as well as your point for your tow bar to attach. more

Now, here's what our base plate is going to look like once we have it installed. It's going to come out right on the lower section of our grill and it's going to give us a solid attachment point, so we can hook our tow bar up to it and pull it behind our motor home.And one of my favorite parts about this base plate is the fact that we can actually remove the arm here, this silver piece. If we pull on this pull ring, we can actually rotate the arm and it will slide right out. Now, it has a lot cleaner of a look because we don't have as much sticking out of the front end. more

Rob: Hey everybody. Rob here, at etrailer.com. And today we're going to be taking a look at the Demco Tabless Base Plate on our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. Our base plate is going to give us a solid attachment point so that we can hook up our tow bar and flat tow our Equinox behind our RV whenever we're going on our trips. That way we're not stuck driving our RV around. We can take our Equinox with us, and we can go out to dinner or just take a quick trip without having to move the motor home.Now, I do want to mention that these accessories right here underneath the license plate are not included with the base plate kit, but it's going to be our braking system and our lights for our flat tow set up. more

There's a couple of different versions of this available. The one that they chose has ends pre-installed on them to connect directly to Blue Ox Base Plates. For the Falcon Two is a great entry level tow bar, however, I would recommend Roadmaster's Falcon All-terrain because it's going to have channels located underneath each arm, to store your safety cables and your wiring and keep it up from dangling down on the road and it is also a nonbinding tow bar, which makes it easier to get disconnected if you're parked on uneven surfaces. more

Today on our 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Road master Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit with removable arms. Now, keep in mind, a base plate is only going to be one of five main components needed to flat tow your Colorado.The other four are going to include, diode wiring, a braking system, a tow bar and safety cables. Right off the bat, one of my favorite things about this base plate kit is how concealed it's going to be when you're not using it.It's just going to go in place of where your tow hooks used to be. That's going to be really nice. You're not going to have an eyesore when you're just cruising around town.Another one of my favorite things is how easy, these are going to be to take on and off. more
